Composer
Tim is an award-winning composer specialising in choral and vocal music.
Having written for some of Australia’s finest musicians and ensembles, Tim is a seasoned writer of new works ranging from triumphant anthems to introspective elegies.
Tim’s compositional output has a particular focus on the intersection between nature and poetry as seen in Animals from Wonderland, Animal Nativity, and Mid-Summer Noon.
Melbourne-based composer Juliana Kay has collaborated with Tim on a number of choral works since 2017 which are available on Juliana’s website.
Tim is passionate about beautifully typeset sheet music and his self-published works are available on this website’s catalogue.

Performer
Tim is in high demand as a seasoned pianist, organist, and conductor.
After completing his training at The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and Franz-Schubert-Institut (Austria), Tim has built a reputation as a highly skilled répétiteur and accompanist specialising in working with singers and ensembles.
Tim is particularly passionate about sustaining Australia’s thriving choral culture and contributes high craft through a variety of non-profit arts organisations including The Yarra Voices and The Australian Boys Choral Institute, at which he is the current Assistant Artistic Director.

Tim maintains a busy schedule of piano work with Australia's premiere ensembles including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Choir of Trinity College, and The National Youth Choir of Australia.
Since 2013, Tim has toured internationally as a pianist to the UK, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, China, Singapore, and New Zealand.
Tim is the current répétiteur for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus and is an official accompanist for The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
As a choral specialist, Tim is in particularly high demand with children's choirs working with Gondwana Choirs, The Yarra Voices, Melbourne Youth Chorale, and The Australian Boys Choir, at which he is the current Assistant Artistic Director.

Tim maintains a busy conducting schedule across Melbourne, working regularly with its leading choirs and music education organisations.
As the current Assistant Artistic Director of The Australian Boys Choral Institute, Tim conducts a number of its training choirs and assists Artistic Director Nick Dinopoulos in continuing its long-running choral tradition.
Tim is a regular guest conductor with Kodály Australia and serves as a regular guest conductor with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
Previously, Tim has held church music appointments as Director of Music at St Bartholomew’s (Burnley) and St Stephen’s (Richmond), and as Associate Director of Music at St Andrew’s (Brighton) with Dr Calvin Bowman.
With a particular specialty in changing male voice ensembles, Tim is the conductor of one of Australia’s leading teenage choirs, The Kelly Gang.
Educator
From the classroom to the stage, Tim is an experienced music teacher engaging with children and adults of all abilities.
Hailing from a family of educators, Tim inspires Australia’s brightest musicians to pursue their passion for music and enables young artists to master their craft.
Tim has been on staff at the Australian Boys Choral Institute since 2013 as a tutor, Teacher-in-Charge, and is the current Assistant Artistic Director to Nick Dinopoulos.
As a staff member of The Yarra Voices, The University of Melbourne, Camberwell Girl Grammar, and previously at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, Tim is passionate about driving music education for musicians of all ages.
Specialising in musicianship and theory, Tim has been appointed as a coach for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus to educate its volunteer singers and increase their proficiency as choristers.
Tim privately teaches a select handful of students subject to availability in AMEB and tertiary theory tutorials.
